If a traditional boat lift will not work for your lifting application then a davit is your economical solution.   When calculating what size davit to purchase a 70/30% ratio should be calculated.  For instance, to determine what size davit your 2,000-lb boat would need simply multiply 2000 x 70% which = 1,400.  Since we don't make a 1400-lb davit go up to the next option of a 2,000-lb davit.

This DAVIT mounts to a concrete base with 1 1/2 - 2 cubic yards of concrete.
